I've always thought it a good idea to set a goal when you want to achieve a new years resolution.
Say you want to lose weight, for example...
Instead of saying "I want to lose weight this year," give yourself a month to lose a 5-10lbs, then set a new goal for the next month!
You can do this with almost ANYTHING, not just weight loss.
Give yourself a time limit to achieve a particular goal. It promotes better results!
Good luck and HappY New Years!

My New Year's resolution is to read at least one new book a month. :0)
I agree w/ the 1st comment. The most important part of setting a goal is being specific and having a time frame. That's what they teach us in business school, and here you get all the advice for FREE. Good deal, I say.
By the way, where is the book? I couldn't find it on the shelves.
my resolution would be to accomplish the past years resolution. im about 5 years behind.
I had sort of given up on setting resolutions, but I'll give it a go for 2008.
According to the BBC, two things that I can do to help achieve my resolution is to tell others about it and to write it down.
One resolution I have for 2008 is to get more sleep.
Another resolution I have is to do at least one assignment from Learning to Love You More.
Ringing in the New Year with some more ZZZZzzzzs!
Happy New Year!
